Ducks biding their time in recruiting

Derrick GreenTom Hauck for ESPN.comRichmond, Va., running back Derrick Green, the No. 53 player in the country, has expressed an interest in officially visiting Oregon this season.
While USC is busy filling its 2013 recruiting class with virtually any prospect it wants, the Oregon Ducks are sitting by patiently as they begin to focus on a core group of recruits. Some have scholarship offers from the Ducks and some look like they are in line to earn one in the next couple of months.

The good thing about the Trojans’ recent recruiting blitz is that they are close to being finished for the year. There will be a little bit of movement among the USC recruits but for the most part, the Ducks will have a great chance at landing many of the remaining West Coast prospects.

With Eddie Vanderdoes and Max Redfield being the latest Ducks targets to jump on the Trojans' offers, it leaves Washington as the biggest competition for many prospects.
