Oregon commits impress at The Opening

July, 10, 2012
With four commits invited to The Opening in Beaverton, Ore., last week, the Oregon Ducks recruiting class was among the best represented at the prestigious Nike camp. Local star Thomas Tyner was unable to attend, but the three Ducks commits in attendance all made it clear they were there for good reason.

Offensive lineman Alex Redmond (Los Alamitos, Calif./Los Alamitos), running back Dontre Wilson (DeSoto, Texas/DeSoto) and wide receiver Darren Carrington Jr. (San Diego, Calif./Horizon Christian) all displayed the ability to compete with the best in the country.

Redmond was one of the more lightly regarded linemen in attendance, but a strong showing turned some heads.
