When a school has a national reputation, sometimes the recruits will come knocking on its doorstep.

For the Oregon Ducks, that was the case last week when Jadarius West of Riverdale (Ga.) Charles Drew Charter School decided to enroll at Oregon in order to walk on with the Ducks' football and track and field programs.

Despite scholarship offers in football from Kentucky and East Carolina, West signed with Hutchinson Community College in Kansas last spring. Now, he has decided to leave and walk on at Oregon in hopes of earning a scholarship in one of the sports.
