One of the best high school football games in Southern California on Friday night featured, not surprisingly, a large group of Division I prospects.
Defending Los Angeles City Champion Narbonne showed it is likely the top team in the city once again. The Gauchos held CIF Southern Section power Gardena (Calif.) Serra under control in a big 22-9 road win.
Everyone knows about Narbonne quarterback Troy Williams (Harbor City, Calif./Narbonne), a Washington commit, but it was the Gauchos' other D-I prospects who stole the show. Led by Williams and wide receiver A.J. Richardson (Harbor City, Calif./Narbonne), the Narbonne offense gets most of the attention, but the Gauchos won the game on the other side of the ball on Friday night.
