High school highlights: Tyner terrific

Recapping the weekend's performances from Oregon's commits in 2013 recruiting class:

Quavondo/ESPNHSThomas Tyner had a monster third quarter for Aloha (Ore.) on Friday.
Thomas Tyner (Aloha, Ore./Aloha): After a nondescript first half, the No. 104 player in the ESPN 150 emerged with 251 yards and three touchdowns in the third quarter. Trailing 14-7 at the half, Tyner broke off scoring runs of 45, 73 and 74 yards to help the Warriors take a 36-21 lead. For the game, Tyner carried the ball 29 times for 384 yards and three scores. The Warriors are 2-0.

Dontre Wilson (DeSoto, Texas/DeSoto): Wilson was huge for DeSoto as the dynamic playmaker helped the Eagles pull away from Jenks (Okla.) in the Southwest Showcase. The No. 51 player in the ESPN 150 carried the ball 22 times for 132 yards and two touchdowns. The Eagles are now 2-0.

Chris Seisay (American Canyon, Calif./American Canyon): The versatile athlete racked up 130 yards of offense in American Canyon's third consecutive blowout win. Seisay had three receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown in the game.

Darren Carrington (San Diego, Calif. /Horizon): After being cleared by doctors to play on Thursday, Carrington rejoined his Horizon teammates as they lost to Mission Bay (Calif.), 27-24. The nation's No. 52 wide receiver produced 147 yards on 10 catches.

John Mundt (Modesto, Calif./Central Catholic): The No. 11 tight end in the country led the way in a huge victory for the Raiders as they defeated Stockton (Calif) St. Mary's 28-21. On offense, Mundt had five catches for 55 yards and a touchdown. He was more impressive on defense as he compiled five tackles and three sacks.

Matt Wogan (Indian Trail, Calif./Porter Ridge): The country's No. 4 kicking prospect had seven touchbacks on seven kickoffs and averaged 43.2 yards in the punting game for the Pirates.

Evan Voeller (West Linn, Ore./ West Linn): The country's No. 12 offensive tackle helped pave the way for the Lions in a 40-34 victory over Grants Pass (Ore.). The No. 179 player in the ESPN 300 was credited with five pancake blocks in the game.

Alex Redmond (Los Alamitos, Calif./Los Alamitos): The No. 59 player in California had three pancake blocks as the Griffins lost 22-14 to Charter Oak (Calif.). Los Alamitos is 1-1.
