Oregon hoops lands JC center

After he was denied admission to South Florida two weeks ago, all signs pointed to junior-college center, Waverly Austin (Fredricksburg, Va/Palm Beach Coast CC) joining the Oregon Ducks program.

After much speculation as to where he would wind up, Austin made it official today when he committed to Oregon coach Dana Altman.

"Yes sir. I committed to Oregon. It's a relief to have a final decision made and I'm just excited about getting out there," Austin said. "I'll be in Eugene tomorrow and I just want to settle in and get to work."
