The class of 2013 running back prospect brings reported 4.31 speed in the 40-yard dash along with his 5-foot-11, 215-pound-frame to the table. His size/speed ratio has earned him several scholarship offers including Oklahoma, Arkansas, Ohio State, Penn State, Virginia Tech, South Carolina and others.
Green’s unique talents piqued the interest of Cale Gundy prompting the Sooners running back coach to offer the Virginia prepster midway through his junior season.
“I was surprised,” Green said. “They watched my film and liked what they saw. I heard they might be looking at me so when I found out they were, I was excited.”
Another East Coast prospect who has popped up on the Sooners offer list, Green doesn’t expect location to impact his decision where to play college football.
“It doesn’t matter,” Green said. “My parents say they’ll move wherever I go, so that’s a plus for me. Wherever I go to college it’s not going to be a problem. I’m not going to pick a college on distance.”
Growing up, there was one school -- a school that has offered -- that stood out in Green’s mind.
“I liked Ohio State because of Eddie George,” Green said. “But I don’t have any favorites right now. I’m wide open.”
