Baker, who is 6-foot-1 and 165 pounds and No. 198 in the ESPN 300, has taken official visits to Clemson and Oklahoma the last two weekends.
After being quiet following his OU trip Sunday, Baker broke his silence with the news of his decommitment. He said his decision is going to come on national signing day and Clemson is the early favorite at this point.
Baker was recruited to FSU by former running backs coach Eddie Gran and had been committed to the Seminoles since the summer. Gran left the program to become the offensive coordinator at Cincinnati last week.
Baker already had the official visit to Clemson planned for a long time, but the OU visit emerged following the departure of former defensive backs coach Mark Stoops.
OU coaches Bob and Mike Stoops said they would not let Baker take an official visit to OU as long as their brother was still at Florida State. When Mark Stoops left to become the head coach at Kentucky, the lines of communication opened up once again between OU and Baker.
Baker said he has also recently started talking with Georgia although no official visit date has been set up.
