Following an official visit to LSU, Bain said he has no problem saying the Tigers are clearly his favorite. However, contrary to other reports, Bain said he has not committed to LSU and will make his selection at the Under Armour All-America Game on Jan. 4.
“Getting to know Coach [Les] Miles was my favorite part of the visit,” Bain said. “He made me and my mom feel real welcome and said he would love to have me because they need me. It’s a place I feel real comfortable about playing at.”
Bain, who is No. 43 in the ESPN 150, is 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds and has made official visits to Oklahoma and Marshall.
He said he has no more visits lined up and the Sooners and Miami (Fla.) are also in his top three schools.
OU and LSU are no strangers to each other in defensive tackle recruiting. The Sooners were among the top three for ESPN 150 tackle Greg Gilmore (Hope Mills, N.C./South View) before Gilmore selected LSU last month.
Gilmore is ranked No. 9 at defensive tackle. Bain is No. 6.
