2014 Alabama linebacker enjoys OU camp

June, 15, 2012
The expectations are big at Madison (Ala.) Bob Jones High. That’s OK for 2014 linebacker Nick Holman, who is in the process of making the move from tight end to linebacker.

Holman, who attended Oklahoma’s three-day camp last week, is ready for the big expectations. But if he turns out to be as good as the linebacker he is replacing, the school will have yet another gem on its hands.

Holman is set to take the spot of Reggie Ragland. No pressure there, right? Ragland, who signed with Alabama, was ranked as the No. 2 inside linebacker for 2012 and ranked No. 109 in the ESPN 150.

No pressure.

“I know my son, and I know he’s going to give it everything he’s got,” said Mark Holman, Nick’s father. “He has the work ethic and the attitude for the challenge.”
