Despite one poorly-played ball early in the Sooners' Red-White spring football game last Saturday, Oklahoma defensive coordinator Mike Stoops is convinced that Javon Harris will be an improved safety in his senior year.

“Javon had a very positive spring,” Stoops said. “His position, outside of the long pass, was very good. He’s been one of our most consistent players, I’ve been pleased with Javon’s play all spring. He’s an improved player over where he was a year ago.”

Harris moved to strong safety this spring after he struggled in pass coverage on multiple occasions at free safety as a junior.
