For all the talk from some Oklahoma fans about the Sooners lack of attention to in-state prospects, there is definitely one recruit the OU coaches have not neglected.

Sophomore running back Devon Thomas (Broken Arrow, Okla./Broken Arrow) has become a familiar face on OU’s campus, and the coaches are making sure that doesn’t change. Thomas was offered by the Sooners in February, attended one of OU’s junior days and will also be on hand for the Red-White spring game Saturday.

Thomas, 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds during his sophomore season, rushed for 1,775 yards with 22 touchdowns. He averaged 9.9 yards per carry against the highest classification of competition in Oklahoma.
