Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops is from Youngstown in northeast Ohio, but he dipped into the opposite side of the state to send out the Sooners’ latest offer.
On Monday, Trotwood-Madison (Trotwood, Ohio) linebacker Mike McCray II picked up an offer from Oklahoma.
“I usually get mail from them but never talked to them before, so that was the first time ever hearing they wanted to talk to me,” said McCray, who lives about an hour north of Cincinnati.
