There were a lot of uncommitted official visitors and unofficial visitors at Oklahoma last week for OU’s showdown with Notre Dame. But one of the most intriguing visitors was OU safety commit Hatari Byrd (Fresno, Calif/Central East).
Byrd, ranked No. 293 in the ESPN 300, was seeing Oklahoma and the OU campus for the first time. He was originally supposed to be coming with a bunch of his teammates but that didn’t happen.
Late last week official visits for four-star defensive back teammates L.J. Moore and Johnny Johnson Jr. were canceled. Byrd was disappointed, but he also didn’t care because this was his visit and nothing was going to upset him.
