Oklahoma saw something early in 2014 wide receiver Nick Alexander (Lancaster, Texas/Lancaster). At the Sooners' three-day camp in June, Alexander showed himself to be an outstanding pass-catching receiver with a big body and an even bigger will to achieve.

At Lancaster, Alexander’s role remains the same, but in three games, he’s shown an ability to use his 6-foot-3, 195-pound frame more for blocking purposes. Alexander only has three catches for 48 yards in Lancaster’s run-based offense, but he has been a top contributor in an offense that is averaging almost 30 points and nearly 250 rushing yards per game.

Consider his blocking ability an additional characteristic on his budding football resume.
