NORMAN, Okla. -- The commitment of Jordan Woodard (Edmond, Okla./Memorial) is a terrific coup for Oklahoma for the Class of 2013.
A four-star prospect with a 80 rating, according to ESPN.com, Woodard is one of the nation’s top point guards. The strong, steady guard is an ideal fit for the overall program and the future teams that Lon Kruger is looking to build in Norman.
Woodard is a team-first player who has an excellent feel for running a team. He’s not a dynamic shooter or unstoppable scorer but he makes his teammates better and helps his team win. He also rates as a solid defender who should be able to hold his own and possibly set the tone defensively for OU.
