Jacqueline Jeffcoat and Katherine Zander have left the University of Oklahoma women’s basketball program. Both players were granted a full release by Sooners coach Sherri Coale on Saturday.

"Jac and Katherine will have the opportunity to find a place where they can have more playing time," Coale said. "We wish them the best in their future endeavors."

Jeffcoat, a sophomore, appeared in 21 games in two seasons at OU. She’s the twin sister of Texas defensive end Jackson Jeffcoat. In eight games this season, Jeffcoat scored five points and grabbed 13 rebounds in 50 total minutes of action.

Zander, a freshman, played in six games this season. A 6-foot-4 post player, she scored four points in 28 total minutes of action during her lone season in Norman.

It's unlikely either departure will have a major impact on the Sooners. Freshman Kaylon Williams was outstanding in the post during her first season and Lyndsey Cloman should return from her ACL injury to battle for minutes in the post next season. Post players Nicole Griffin and Joanna McFarland also return next season for OU.
