Regents approve OU stadium renovation

The University of Oklahoma regents approved a $370 million renovation projection on Wednesday that will transform Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium.

The project is expected to include a bowled-in south end zone; a remodeled west side featuring expanded suites and new press box; and an improved north end zone that will include a second stadium video board. The work will be done in phases, with targeted completion coming before the 2016 season. The seating capacity of 82,000 is not expected to change much, as the design will be focused on improving the fan experience and creating more comfortable seating.
