There are a couple of things you can count on during every Oklahoma high school season. There will be a prospect or two that stands out during their senior season and becomes a top-ranked recruit.
That happened with Norman (Okla.) North’s Jordan Evans and Tulsa (Okla.) Booker T. Washington’s Dominique Alexander.
And then there are one or two underclassmen that come out of nowhere to produce big-time numbers. That happened with Edmond (Okla.) Memorial sophomore running back Warren Wand, who said he is 5-foot-7 and 162 pounds, but he played bigger than that. He rushed for 1,812 yards on 202 carries with 15 touchdowns, averaging 8.9 yards per carry.
