Jaz Reynolds didn’t have to wait for the Sunday film session to see the circus catches he made against Kansas State.

All he had to do was flip on "SportsCenter."

"It was the first time I made the ‘Top 10 Plays,’ ” Reynolds said Tuesday. “I can’t lie, I was pretty hyped about it. People were hitting me up on Twitter, Facebook. I was calling my family about it.

“Definitely one of the milestones of my life.”

Two of his three grabs against the Wildcats were one-handed catches, and the third was a touchdown on a diving effort into the end zone with the Sooners trailing 17-14 early in the second quarter.

“He made some spectacular catches,” said co-offensive coordinator and receivers coach Jay Norvell. “Those are the type of things we know he is capable of.”

Coach Bob Stoops pointed out Tuesday during his weekly press conference that Reynolds’ emergence as OU’s third wideout, alongside Ryan Broyles and Kenny Stills, has been a big boost to the offense.

“It makes a big difference in that you spread the field more when you have guys like Jaz making big plays. It’s hard to isolate on other guys,” Stoops said. “And so, it’s been a big positive all year, the way Jaz has emerged and the way he’s been coming up with the plays he’s been coming up with.”
