Penn State transfer Justin Brown knew he had to develop a relationship quickly with quarterback Landry Jones. So Brown, along with true freshman receiver Trey Metoyer, has spent extra time after practice running routes to get their timing down.
“I think it’s coming along good,” Brown said. “With Landry and Trey, we’re always staying around after (practice) and I think it’s going good. I only had two weeks here so I had to get the timing down real quick.”
It’s obvious that Jones has developed good chemistry with Stills, who he has been throwing the ball for more than two years. It’s important for Jones to develop similar chemistry with Metoyer and Brown, so their post-practice throwing sessions are good news for the Sooners.
