SoonerNation writer Jake Trotter chatted with readers on Monday about Oklahoma football and recruiting. Here's the full transcript. If you didn't get your question answered, send it to the SoonerNation mailbag.

Here are a few highlights from the chat:

Billy Joe Bob (Enid): I keep hearing mixed reviews about Kenny Stills in the slot. Is Kenny in the slot because his skills best fit that position, or simply to get him on the field next to Trey Metoyer and Justin Brown?

Jake Trotter: Kenny is in the slot so the Sooners can get their three best WRs (Stills, Brown, Metoyer) on the field at the same time. I think you'll still see Kenny line up at wideout, but right now he's trying to nail down the slot so OU can go to that lineup when they want this season.

Matt (Texas): Is the diamond formation dead? If so that's a shame it was so much fun to watch

Jake Trotter: As far as I can see, it's dead. Replaced by the Belldozer as a gimmick formation. That was Kevin Wilson's baby. When he left, the diamond left with him.

Derrin (Plano, TX): How many additional touches will Roy Finch get a game by lining up regularly in the slot? His big play potential should really help the Sooners given their questions at WR, don't you think?

Jake Trotter: I do -- provided they get him the ball. I could see him disappear in that role, maybe getting a screen and a reverse a game, and that's it. But he's too explosive to forget. Hopefully the Sooners utilize him on the perimeter.

Matt! (South of the Red River): I've been reading a lot of great things about Metoyer (Switzer throwing around the "s" word?), but I'm more of a visual person. What traits can I expect to see from #17? Anybody he reminds people of?

Jake Trotter: He reminds me of Blackmon, in that he can go up and get the ball, and out-muscle smaller CBs. Will he be that good? I think he can be. But time will tell.
