NORMAN, Okla. -- Disappointment reigned as the news of Tyler Evans' ACL injury hit the Oklahoma football program this week.
Bronson Irwin could silence all concerns with a strong junior season. He has the pedigree to slide right in without much of a drop off. He had several offers out of Mustang, Okla./Mustang High School including Alabama, Arkansas, Nebraska and others before picking the Sooners.
He has provided quality depth at guard during his first two seasons before being thrown into the spotlight this week.
“I love what he did in January and February,” offensive coordinator Josh Heupel said. “In spring ball, he continued to get better every day.”
