Last week, Bob Stoops announced that running back Dominique Whaley has been cleared to resume football activities. The former walk-on led the Sooners in rushing before suffering a season-ending broken ankle in the middle of the year.

QB Landry Jones said he expects Whaley to be back to his old self when the Sooners put on the pads next week.

“He looks good. Running really well. Some days it might get a little sore, but that just comes with breaking your ankle the way he did,” Jones said. ”He’s going to be fine, he’s going to come back strong.

“I think he should be full speed, ready to go.”
