Beyer with strong OU connection

This week has felt like a downer for OU fans in Sooners recruiting as targets continue to commit to other schools. But one target has emerged as the Sooners are in the mix with four-star offensive tackle Matt Beyer (San Antonio/Reagan).

If OU can land Beyer, he can finally stop hearing about how great the Sooners are from former teammate Trevor Knight.

Knight, a quarterback, and his twin brother, Connor, a tight end, are both on campus and working out in the Sooners' summer conditioning program.

“Trevor has been talking to me since July about OU. He has been pumped up for a long time,” Knight said. “The potential to play with Trevor and Connor, too, definitely means a lot.”
