When offer No. 31 came in for Washington (Pa.) running back Shai McKenzie last week, he figured it was time to start cutting his list. It sounds simple, but McKenzie had a harder time when it came to putting pen to paper.

Forgive offensive tackle Jordan Sims (Homewood, Ala./Homewood) if he seems rather stunned. He has had a busy afternoon. After returning from Auburn on Saturday -- where he picked up an offer from the Tigers -- he received a couple messages to call various coaches after school. Considered the biggest junior college name left uncommitted, four-star defensive tackle Toby Johnson (Hutchinson, Kan./Hutchinson Community College) is taking his decision to national signing day.
Johnson, the No. 4 player in the ESPN Junior College 100, said he will choose among Georgia, Oklahoma, Mississippi State and Auburn on Feb. 6. On Monday, Johnson hosted Georgia on an in-home visit.
“It was a good visit. They were making sure I’m good with everything,” said Johnson, who is rehabbing a torn ACL in his right knee. “With signing day coming, they were just making sure everybody’s on the right page. They’re still in the mix for me.”
Johnson said he still keeps in contact with Auburn defensive line coach Rodney Garner quite frequently. Johnson also is preparing for in-home visits with Mississippi State and Oklahoma. The 6-foot-4, 305-pound defensive tackle originally from College Park, Ga., has additional offers from Florida, Kansas State, Texas A&M, Nebraska, USC, Missouri and a host of other programs.

Streeter Lecka/Getty ImagesAlabama, with three of the past four national titles, is No. 1 in the Way-Too-Early Top 25 for 2013.There are still seven months before the start of the 2013 season, and the teams and their order figure to change frequently, but it's never too early to take a look at the Way-Too-Early Top 25 for 2013.
And with three national championships in the past four years, there's no reason to change the team that's on top. Oklahoma will try to make it back to the top from the No. 17 spot.

With Monken’s departure to become the Southern Mississippi head coach combined with little interest from OU quarterbacks coach Josh Heupel thus far, right now it looks like one of the state’s best prospects will have to look elsewhere.
