Michigan Wolverines: 2012 spring practice

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Depending on weather, Michigan might move its spring scrimmage Saturday indoors and close it to the public.

A final decision will be made around 6 a.m. Saturday, the university said in a release. If it is moved inside, Michigan will practice inside the Al Glick Field House. If this happens, it will be closed to the public.

The school announced Friday afternoon a decision would be made whether to hold the scrimmage -- and other events planned for Saturday including a Michigan-Ohio State lacrosse game after the football spring game -- outdoors or move it inside.

“We are concerned about the weather conditions that are expected in Ann Arbor at the time of our scrimmage and lacrosse game,” Michigan associate athletic director for facilities and operations Rob Rademacher said in a statement. “We will cancel the events at the stadium if the safety of our fans, players and staff is compromised by the weather.

“Cancellation is a possibility given the reports we have received from local weathermen and from radar.”
