Michigan Wolverines: 2013 adidas invitational

The adidas invitational had a roster full of the top Midwest prospects from the 2014, 2015 and 2016 classes. With that many recruits in one place that means there is plenty of recruiting news to be passed around. Here are a few notes and updates from the camp:

2015 DE Cornell stands out

When 2015 defensive end Jashon Cornell (St. Paul, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall) walked into the building at the adidas invitational, he stood out among his peers. Standing 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, Cornell was also a standout on the field during the one-day camp.

The talented junior to be has already been offered by Iowa, Minnesota and Rutgers, but says there are a few other schools already in contact.

Detroit Cass Tech and Southfield High are set to face off on Aug. 30 at the Prep Kickoff Classic, in what should be an exciting game loaded with top talent.

We got a preview of some of that talent on Sunday in Grand Rapids, Mich., at the adidas Invitational, where Cass Tech and Southfield were both well represented.

OL Ragnow is just getting started

The adidas Invitational was loaded with defensive line talent, which meant the offensive linemen needed to be on their game. Frank Ragnow (Victoria, Minn./Chanhassen) was one of the offensive line prospects on hand, and held his own against the talented defenders in one-on-ones.

RN Top 10: adidas Invitational

The RN Top 10 will appear throughout the camp and combine season and rank prospects based strictly on their on-field performance at that particular event. It does not reflect what their overall prospect ranking will be when the 2014 rankings are unveiled this spring.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- There were plenty of top prospects on hand for the adidas Invitational at Grand Valley State. RecruitingNation had to make some tough decisions in picking out the top performances of the day, but these 10 prospects made the strongest case.

The adidas invitational was held on Sunday at Grand Valley State University, boasting some of the top Midwest prospects ranging from the 2014 all the way to 2016 classes. The annual camp did not disappoint as the competition was plentiful throughout the day.
