Possible scenarios for the 2013 recruiting class
By Chantel Jennings
With 17 commits, the Wolverines have the most commitments of any team in the country. There are a maximum of seven spots left in the class that Michigan will be looking to fill. We will take a look at possible scenarios that Michigan's class could finish with based on current numbers and situations.
For argument's sake we'll just assume the Wolverines fill the class with seven more prospects just to make the numbers consistent.
CURRENTLY:
ESPN 150 COMMITS: 11
FIVE STARS: 0
FOUR STARS: 15
THREE STARS: 2
REMAINING TOP TARGETS:
ESPN 150 PROSPECTS: 5
FIVE STARS: 0
FOUR STARS: 10
THREE STARS: 2
BEST CASE SCENARIO:
This is what every Michigan fan is crossing their fingers for, and what most Michigan fans are assuming the coaching staff will be able to do. If the Wolverines were able to pick up their top targets for each position and fill needs, they’d finish with an incredibly strong class.
WHERE THAT CLASS WOULD END UP:
ESPN150 COMMITS: 17
FIVE STARS: 0
FOUR STARS: 22
THREE STARS: 2
MOST PROBABLE SCENARIO:
Michigan will get a few more big pickups as far as its prospects, but they’ll also lose out on a few others. The talent of the Wolverines’ current class will pull in other top kids, but it might make a few others shy away and look for a school where the limelight might immediately be theirs.
