Top 12 Prospect Countdown - No. 10

By WolverineNation staff

There are roughly eight spots left in Michigan's 2013 class, and there are still a few needs to fill. Some of the top prospects in the nation are still considering Michigan, and it would be tough to turn away those kinds of recruits. So WolverineNation will rank the top 12 uncommitted prospects for Michigan based on need and want leading up to the spring game.

No. 10

Devon Allen
Phoenix WR Devon Allen is a track star who could help early at Michigan.
Tom's pick: WR Devon Allen (Phoenix/Brophy Prep)

Michigan needs wide receivers pretty badly, and Allen is becoming one of the top receivers in his class. While he isn't talked about a ton nationally, he already holds offers from Michigan, Ohio State, Arkansas, Stanford and Oklahoma, among others. He's a track star who also happens to be an excellent football player. He would provide some balance at the receiver position and give Michigan a deep threat in this class. Not only does he have speed, but also he doesn't give up any size at 6-foot, 170 pounds. He would be able to come in and help on kick returns and would be a solid addition to this class.

Chantel's pick: CB Kendall Fuller (Olney, Md./Our Lady of Good Counsel)

I think Fuller is the best cornerback the Wolverines have on their board. Yes, his older brothers play for Virginia Tech, but there's also a strong Good Counsel/Michigan connection going on (Blake Countess). He's a prototypical cornerback with great size and speed, and he's the type of defender who could lock down bigger, physical opponents. The 2013 class has yet to grab an ESPNU 150 cornerback (though I believe Jourdan Lewis has the abilities to be on that list), but he would be a huge get for Michigan. He would be further up on my list if I weren't so high on Lewis at this point, but I do think Fuller would be an excellent addition.

Readers' pick: DE Joey Bosa (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas)

bobhenry97 -- Can always use another edge rusher.

umdetroitfam -- Beast of a five-tech, but I think he stays south. I hope he doesn't go to Ohio.

gadler12378 -- I know he plays with really good talent, so it's hard to tell when he and his teammates are running into the backfield. Violently wins the neutral zone.

dvdhplee -- Top shelf pass rusher that would allow the defense to compete with the Alabama's and LSU's on the national stage.

wjm10688 -- Defensive line depth never hurts, but I think (Michigan) needs defensive tackles more than defensive ends at the moment.

michfan207 -- Solid defensive end that kind of reminds me of Craig Roh.

ironlip54 -- This kid is physically an absolute beast, but even more impressive is that he plays like one on the field. He is just nasty and plays with bad intentions.

farnn209 -- Looks amazing, but I just see zero percent chance of landing him, so I don't really even think of him being in the class.

Ansky629 -- Top notch defensive end, but down on the list because the likelihood of him coming to Ann Arbor is very slim.

ZMcdonald987 -- The real Bosa, but in no hurry to leave the swamps of Florida.
