Top 12 Prospect Countdown - No. 11

By WolverineNation staff

There are roughly eight spots left in Michigan's 2013 class, and there are still a few needs to fill. Some of the top prospects in the nation are still considering Michigan, and it would be tough to turn away those kinds of recruits. So WolverineNation will rank the top 12 uncommitted prospects for Michigan based on need and want leading up to the spring game.

No. 11

Joey Bosa
Florida DE prospect Joey Bosa will visit Michigan for the spring game on April 14.
Tom’s pick: DE Joey Bosa (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas)

Bosa makes the list because he's a ridiculous defensive end and is highly coveted in Ann Arbor. I have said before it might be difficult to pull him from Florida, or even from Ohio State, but he is visiting Michigan for the spring game on April 14. Getting a kid to take an unofficial visit from Florida in April is a definite positive for the Wolverines. I don't think he really knows how interested he is in Michigan yet, so we'll see what happens after his visit. At 6-foot-4, 255 pounds, and with an offer list that boasts a ton of major programs, Bosa would be a big addition to Michigan's class. He would also provide more depth and competition at the strongside defensive end spot, which is needed.

Chantel’s pick: WR Kevin Gladney (Akron, Ohio/Firestone)

Again, this isn't the Wolverines' top wide receiver (he'll come later in the list), but getting Gladney definitely wouldn't be settling by any means. Michigan was Gladney’s first offer and he said the Wolverines are his leader at this point. Brady Hoke might have an easier time pulling Gladney from Ohio than with other wide receiver recruits from Arizona and Texas (Devon Allen, Eldridge Massington). So the proximity for Gladney is nice, not to mention the fact he has a familiar face on the roster. Over the past few seasons, Gladney went up against former Akron Buchtel player and current Michigan safety Jarrod Wilson.

Reader’s pick: DT Greg Webb (Erial, N.J./Timber Creek Regional)

m1muller - Big defensive tackle with wrestling talent.

humphril - Space eater, and would fill depth and talent at nose tackle.

michfan207 - Another elite defensive lineman.

Steve Shomeak - A beast in the center of the line. Pee Wee (Ondre Pipkins) and Webb is almost illegal.

Grahamalish1000 - More defensive tackle depth.

dvdhplee - Nose tackle that explodes off the ball. Always seems to get a push up the middle, against doubleteams no less.
