OL Alex Kozan down to three
By Damon Sayles
Four-star offensive lineman Alex Kozan (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Valor Christian) on Sunday said he is nearing a decision and hopes to know his college future by the end of the week.
Kozan, who has more than 20 offers, said he has cut his list to Michigan, Iowa and Auburn. He has in-home visits set for this week. Iowa and Michigan will be in town Monday. Washington, a darkhorse in the running, will be in town Tuesday. Kozan will host Auburn on Wednesday.
“I’m kind of going on a feeling,” Kozan said. “I know all the facts on them, and they are all pretty equal in my mind.”
Kozan said Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz and Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian will be in town on Monday and Tuesday, respectively. Offensive line coach Darrell Funk is expected to represent Michigan on Monday, and offensive line coach Jeff Grimes is expected to represent Auburn on Wednesday.
Kozan, in addition to the aforementioned, has offers from LSU, Oregon, South Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Arkansas and several other schools. He is ranked as the sixth-best player in Colorado and, classified as a guard, he is ranked No. 19 nationally.
