Harris returns to U-M for spring game
By Tom VanHaaren
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Making another appearance in Ann Arbor, ESPN Watch List wide receiver Drake Harris (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) is set to visit Michigan for the spring game, right on the heels of a trip to Columbus to take an unofficial visit to OSU.
Wilton Speight (Richmond, Va./Collegiate School) and Mason Cole (Tarpon Springs, Fla./East Lake) have been putting in work to recruit Harris, which could end up being a factor.
"That's really big, because if I did go there, those would be my teammates, and I want to develop a good bond with my teammates," Harris said. "That's what makes teams great."
Harris plans on spending the night in Ann Arbor on Saturday, which again will give him some time to spend with the players and recruits.
Harris has really seen most of what Michigan has to offer including tours, the facilities, basketball games and the Big House. This visit is more about gaining more of a comfort level with everyone around the program.
"On the visit I'm just really looking forward to spending more time with the coaching staff and then getting a chance to see the game," he said. "How the coaches would use me at the receiver position and see if I can come in and make an impact on the team if I went there."
It doesn't look like Harris is ready to make a decision just yet, but this visit is a step closer to getting him to feel more comfortable with the people inside the Michigan program. While he has been on campus several times, this is still a big visit.
