2014 WR excited by Michigan offer
By Tom VanHaaren
Michigan landed three receivers in the 2013 class, but have been unable to land a top-ranked wideout. The staff is hoping to change that in 2014 as plenty of offers to elite level prospects have gone out.
The most recent offer was extended to Saeed Blacknall (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan), who has been racking up offers at a rapid pace. Blacknall has been receiving major interest, but says this Michigan offer was something to be excited about.
"Michigan very well speaks for itself. The program is awesome with tons of history and the stage doesn't get any bigger than that," he said. "But I don't rank my schools yet until I see them in person. I can tell you that I'm very blessed to have this opportunity and think the world of any school that takes the time out to give me the time of day."
Blacknall says he is unable to take many trips right now and that he will likely start visiting programs he is interested in during the spring.
At 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, it's easy to see why programs are starting to reach out to the talented receiver.
"The fact that I can read defenses and if the defense throws something at me, I have something for them," he said. "I guess I'm getting so much attention because of my size and speed to stretch the field at any moment. I have good hands and good route running that I work on daily."
