COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Michigan commit Jaron Dukes (Columbus, Ohio/Marion-Franklin) wants to get back up to Ann Arbor. But not with fuel prices as high as they are.
"Whenever somebody puts some gas in my car," a laughing Dukes said about when he'll be at Michigan next. "It's kind of hard."
Dukes' season and career at Marion-Franklin ended last weekend, however, opening up Dukes' schedule a little more. It's not that he hasn't been trying to get to Michigan.
"I just love being up there. It's a great experience, like family, you feel welcome, feels like the right place to be," Dukes said.
For now, the ESPN 300 receiver has talked with the staff about once a week. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound recruit fits the mold of what the Michigan offense wants at the position under second-year coach Brady Hoke.
"What kind of style of offense, how I can contribute to the team," Dukes said about his conversations with the coaches.
"We talk a lot. Taco's birthday was [two weeks ago] and we wished him happy birthday," Dukes said.
