Denard Robinson qualified for the 40-40 club against Illinois on Saturday, one as rare as its baseball counterpart.

In baseball, the 40-40 club belongs to members who accumulate 40 stolen bases and 40 home runs in a season, and it has four members. In college football, the 40-40 is a career accomplishment -- quarterbacks who have amassed 40 rushing touchdowns and 40 passing touchdowns.

Robinson became the eighth member of that group against the Illini.

Here is that group, half of whom played in the Midwest:

  • Antwaan Randle El, Indiana (1998-2001): 44 rushing touchdowns; 42 passing touchdowns.
