The offers will most certainly come for 2014 safety Dameon Willis Jr. (Cleveland/St. Ignatius). Although he has yet to land offer No. 1, he is already high on two programs in particular.
Michigan and Michigan State have made strong impressions on Willis, who plans to attend the annual rivalry game later this month on Oct. 20 at Michigan.
It turns out that game could go a long way on where Willis ends up.
“Hopefully a decision really,” Willis said when asked about what he’s looking to come out of that game. “I’ve got a lot of family up there. I like the Big House, always loved it, and there's just something about that [Michigan State] green. I love that green.
“I'm pretty set on those two.”
With the game potentially having major implications on who represents the Legends Division in the Big Ten title game, Willis expects a wild atmosphere, similar to what he has seen the last few years in St. Ignatius’ big rivalry game.
“I’m expecting it to be crazy, almost like the St. Ed's-St. Ignatius game,” he said.
Willis is arguably the top junior on St. Ignatius, which is No. 10 in the latest ESPN 25 Power Rankings.
