Running back Christian McCaffrey (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Valor Christian) comes from a football family, so it’s no surprise he is already a highly recruited prospect heading into his junior season. His father, Ed, played for Stanford and eventually in the NFL, and his brother Max plays for Duke. Not only has he inherited the football gene, but he has some help for his recruitment as well.

“My dad basically just tells me to enjoy it; he makes it easy on me. He tells me to look at it as a blessing and not a burden,” he said. “He doesn’t push me into anything and is letting me decide. Plus, our coaches do a good job when it comes to recruiting and with college coaches.”

Outside of his family McCaffrey has also had teammates go through the process, including 2012 offensive lineman Alex Kozan, who eventually chose Auburn.
