Back from a jaunt to New York, Michigan head coach Brady Hoke sat down and chatted with the media for about 20 minutes Friday afternoon.

Here, as always, are the highlights in convenient bullet form:

  • On the proposal to reduce football scholarships to 80: "I think that's ridiculous. I think when you go through a season and we've been fortunate this year when you look at some of the injuries and things that can happen, once you take your two deeps and look at your skill groups and those things, I don't think that's a wise suggestion."
  • Hoke anticipates his entire staff to return next season. "Yeah, I do. I’m sure if it was anything, they would approach me about it."
