Defensive back Parrker Westphal (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook) is one of eleven defensive backs in the 2014 class to be offered by Michigan. He and his father, Brian, have already seen Michigan in person, but the Big House BBQ gave them a closer look at the program.

"It wasn't really anything new, it was kind of the same as before but it was better," Westphal's father said. "It was more involved, and it was definitely good to get one on one time with the coaches and we got to meet everyone's families. It was really neat and we worked on building that bond."

This wasn't the only BBQ that the Westphals have attended either, as Nebraska put on a similar event recently as well. The Nebraska trip was different in the sense that the Westphals felt it was more geared towards the 2013 prospects.
