Michigan is looking to add to what you see when you show up to Michigan Stadium or the Crisler Center for football and basketball games.

Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon is putting forward a proposal to the school's Board of Regents on Thursday asking for $2.8 million for an "informational marquee" that can be viewed from Stadium Boulevard. The plan is to use "visual and audio technology" for information on upcoming events and welcoming guests to the facilities.

The project is expected to be completed by next fall.

Brandon is also asking the Regents to approve the schematic design for the Schembechler Hall renovation, expected to be completed by the winter of 2014.
