Quick hits from football news conference

November, 16, 2011
Coach Brady Hoke, junior quarterback Denard Robinson and senior defensive tackle Mike Martin sat down with the media Wednesday to discuss practice this week and Saturday's game against Nebraska. Here are a few of the things they touched on:

  • Michigan is practicing as physically this week as they did during September. "We're learning how to be a football team on a daily basis," Hoke said. "That competition -- one-on-ones -- is very vital to us, because of the competition aspect of it."
  • The team won't spend extra time in Michigan Stadium over the next two weeks just because the Wolverines finish out there schedule in Ann Arbor. Hoke did say that the kickers might spend extra kicking practice in the Big House though.
