Michigan senior goalie Shawn Hunwick has been named one of 10 finalists for the Hobey Baker Award, given to the nation's top collegiate hockey player.

Hunwick, named to the CCHA second team earlier this season, is 23-10-3 this season with a goals against average of 1.96 and a .934 save percentage.

The Sterling Heights, Mich. native is leading the Wolverines into the CCHA semifinals Friday against Bowling Green at 8 p.m.

Hunwick has five shutouts this season and is sixth nationally in minutes.

Hunwick is one of three finalists from the CCHA, joining Michigan State's Torey Krug and Miami's Reilly Smith.

The Hobey Baker final three will be announced March 29 and the award will be announced April 6 at the MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla. during this year's Frozen Four.
