Offensive lineman John Montelus (Everett, Mass./Everett) was going to try to make it out to Ann Arbor on Wednesday but had to reschedule.
"I'm not going because I think the head coach (Brady Hoke) won't be there," he said. "I'm going up on March 19 instead, during a spring practice."
Montelus also plans on visiting Florida, another school that has offered, sometime in April. Outside of Michigan and Florida, Montelus also counts offers from Connecticut, West Virginia, Virginia, Boston College and NC State.
The 6-foot-5, 295-pound lineman says he still plans on taking things slowly even though schools such as Michigan -- with four offensive line commits over the weekend -- are filling up fast. That's part of why he is taking these visits, and has a few specific aspects he wants to see while on campus.
"I'm looking for a great atmosphere, and great coaches who really care about their players and want their players to succeed in life," Montelus said.
