Offensive lineman Cameron Dillard (Canton, Mich./Canton) has been hearing from programs across the country. The 6-foot-3, 290-pound lineman has already picked up offers from Arkansas, Arizona, Arizona State and Oregon, among others.
He hasn't received an offer from Michigan yet, though. Dillard has had regular contact with Michigan, and did speak with offensive line coach Darrell Funk recently about what he needs to do to get their attention.
"Coach Funk said he was impressed with my film, however he would like to see me in more pass protection, since my school is run dominant," he said. "He invited me to a senior camp to see how well I have done this offseason to improve that aspect of my game."
Despite having big-time offers from national programs, Dillard doesn't believe that he is above camping to get an offer.
"I feel I have something to prove," he said. "I work hard at my position to be the best, and I want to show Coach Funk the same thing. My motto is stay hungry, stay humble."
With that attitude, he can't fail. Dillard says he doesn't have a top list yet, but he is starting to visit schools and get deeper in the process. He will be at Virginia Tech this weekend for a junior day.
