U-M adds 2012 walk-on

February, 6, 2012
Michigan gained another member of the 2012 recruiting class Monday night as offensive lineman Dan Gibbs (Birmingham, Mich./Seaholm) decided to accept a preferred walk-on role. Gibbs chose to walk on at Michigan over offers from Ball State and Eastern Michigan.

"I looked at my options very carefully, but I knew that Michigan was the right place for me. It's an honor to have the opportunity to be a part of such an awesome program," he said. "Coach (Darrell) Funk has been and continues to be great to me in the recruiting process, and I look forward to playing for Michigan and Coach (Brady) Hoke."
