Iowa coach Fran McCaffery is not a happy man these days. He slammed a chair in anger during Iowa's 95-61 loss to Michigan State on Tuesday night, picked up a technical foul in the process and had no apologies for it, either.

At least he has passion, and if it works in motivating his Iowa team, one that has been up and down throughout the season, then so be it.

"If anybody thinks I'm going to sit there with my hands crossed when we're down by 40, they got the wrong guy, OK," McCaffery told reporters this week. " I was brought in here to change the culture. I'm going to coach with passion, and my players know that. They also know I'm going to fight for them."
