Michigan fans are very familiar with 2013 wide receiver Laquon Treadwell (Crete, Ill./Crete-Monee), as he has been on multiple visits to Ann Arbor and always speaks highly of the Wolverines.
Treadwell is still gathering offers, though, and recently came out with his top five schools. Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Tennessee are the programs among the early list for the 6-foot-2, 190-pound receiver.
Treadwell details why each program has made his list:
Michigan: "Because I really liked them from the beginning. They have a great coaching staff and fan base."
Nebraska: "I like what they're doing with their program right now. I like the coaches there and the facilities, too."
Notre Dame: "I like what Notre Dame has to offer academically. The offensive style and the coaches are great, too."
Ohio State: "They have a new coaching staff with Urban Meyer, and I loved his offense when he was with Florida. He's a great coach and it's a great place."
Tennessee: "It's a great place, with a great offense and coaches. Plus the weather is nice and everything."
Treadwell has said in the past that his mother will play a large role in his recruitment. He will try to schedule another trip to Ann Arbor with his mother in the near future, as she needs to see the programs for herself.
This is an early list for Treadwell, and it's safe to say that this list will change as he gathers more offers.
