BATON ROUGE, La. -- The middle of December could be big for LSU football recruiting.

LSU is scheduled to host a big recruiting weekend Dec. 14-16, and it's looking like some intriguing unsigned players will be there as well.

One player who confirmed a visit to LSU that weekend is safety Priest Willis. The stepfather of the ESPN 150 safety from Tempe (Ariz.) Marco de Niza confirmed the visit with ESPN.com's Erik McKinney on Tuesday.

Gardena (Calif.) Serra High is well known for putting out wide receivers, but one of the top players in Southern California is on the other side of the field for the Cavaliers.

Junior Adoree' Jackson emerged this spring as he was among the top defensive backs at the Los Angeles NFTC that included elite defensive backs like Max Redfield, Chris Hawkins, Tahaan Goodman, Tyler Foreman and Priest Willis. Onlookers and coaches alike agreed that Jackson was as good as any of them.

"Adoree is ferocious. He is real athletic, has good hips and is more physical than you would think. He has a bright future ahead of him. He will be at the top of his class and can go anywhere he wants," said Michael Fletcher, head defensive backs coach for the NFTC.

Brazil surges up ESPN 150

Jeryl Brazil moved up the ESPN150 as fast as he runs the 40-yard dash.

After his camp-best 4.32 40-yard dash at The Opening at Beaverton, Ore., over the weekend, the Loranger, La./Loranger cornerback moved up to No. 60 and into the updated ESPN150 released Thursday.

Brazil was impressive all around at The Opening, showing better than expected coverage ability at cornerback and turning in times of 4.31 in the 20-yard shuffle, a 34-inch vertical leap and a 122.4 SPARQ rating.
