2014 position preview: Defensive line

October, 23, 2012
Sure, LSU is making the defensive front a priority in its 2013 recruiting class. The Tigers boast four pass rushers in this year's class, and they look likely to add at least one or two more. But with the upcoming losses this year's squad is going to suffer on the defensive line, it's bound to be a priority again in 2014. It doesn't hurt that there's some strong talent to choose from.

Miller Safrit/ESPN.com2014 defensive lineman Gerald Willis already has offers from Alabama, LSU and Florida.
DE Gerald Willis (New Orleans/Edna Karr): Willis' family is one LSU fans will be familiar with. His older brother, Landon Collins, opted for Alabama over LSU as one of the top recruits in the class of 2012. Willis' recruitment might be every bit as dramatic, as the 6-foot-3, 260-pound prospect is racking up offers -- with LSU, Alabama and Florida among them -- and is on the ESPN Watch List. Karr uses its star pass rusher at both defensive tackle and defensive end, and he's plenty disruptive in both spots.
